Pop Up Displays #2: Exhibition Displays

Ah, exhibition displays. Running around to set up the booth, wondering if all the pieces arrived intact. Last minute panic as things get set up. Anyone who has ever set up a major exhibition booth display for others to look at has learned that every minute of preparation saves many hours of stress on the floor of the show.

One excellent and exciting way to reduce this stress is by using a full color up display. These displays, which are quite attractive, are set up sort of like horizontal sails. They have a series of vertical rods made up of aircraft grade aluminum, and a series of spars that stretch them out tight, allowing the cloth front piece to make a curved display. The display itself has attachment points for lighting systems (both halogen and incandescent). The high durability cloth front piece can be screen printed with whatever display image your company wants to present the best image possible for its convention appearance. The final display is roughly 5 feet tall by 10 feet wide, making it an excellent backdrop for a booth.

Getting it to and from the show is also easy. The entire display folds down and packs into a wheeled case, made of a polycarbonate shell. It weighs 97 pounds and is quite compact, making it easy to load into odd spaces for shipping to and from the exhibit hall. Setup is a breeze, with experienced hands able to put it up and take it down in under 10 minutes, and even first time users manage it in around 20. Compare this to some of the girder-and-support lattice displays that require extension ladders to set up, and you’ll see the appeal. The one-to-two person setup also saves you money, since you don’t need to hire union contractors or exhibit hall laborers to help set up or break down your booth displays. For booths that are meant for spoken presentations, the roll away case for the Pop Up Display can also double as a podium, being roughly 4 feet tall and stable when the wheels are locked.

Because the panels of the display is not permanently attached to the backing, you can swap them out for each convention. With four center panels and two end caps, you can get custom printed panels that will make your business stand out. These custom printed graphics panels are printed on photographic film and laminated for durability, and make a sharp impression for your business. This modular setup allows you to customize your booth for each show. In particular, if there’s a series of shows you go to each year, consider making your center panels your product display area, and the end-cap panels have show specific information.
